Flynn is the sire of our Lorna and extended family member Adelaide. He (and Adelaide) are owned and loved by Linda Barter. First and foremost Flynn is a companion and much loved pet. He loves to play and work but also likes to relax and snuggle.

Flynn loves water and retrieving. Dock diving combines both and is a whole lot of fun. Flynn has enjoyed training and competing in dock diving from the time he was 2. He has earned many titles, with personal best in distance jump of 20’10” and in air retrieve of 17′. 2025 saw him compete as a veteran for the first time. At the Northwest NADD regionals he competed and placed in all 3 disciplines as well as earning a H.AR.D charger award. He has qualified for National Championships a number of times.

In 2024 Flynn completed all the requirements to qualify for the Versatility Certificate Excellent Award from the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA). This certificate is awarded to those Golden Retrievers who exemplify the versatility of the breed by accomplishments in conformation, companion and field events.

Flynn also has fun heeling, spinning and jumping in the rally ring. He earned his rally novice title just prior to the COVID shutdown in 2020. It was a while before we got back in the rally ring, but he has enjoyed that earning his Rally Master title in June 2024 and we are trialing here and there working towards gaining a Rally Championship (hopefully). He has qualified for the Rally National Championships 2023, 24 and 25.

Flynn loves searching for things and has earned many NACSW Nose Work and AKC Scent Work titles. He earned his Scent Work Master title in late 2024 and is working on Detective. In NACSW he has his ELT2, L3C, L2I, L2V and L2E titles.

Flynn earned his Junior Hunter title in Fallon, NV, May 2021 and his Working Certificate in Suisun City, CA, Oct 2021

Flynn was handled to his AKC Championship and Grand Championship by Jennifer Holmberg-Baggenstos
